From the tea forests in Ha Giang high mountains, we carefully selected only the hundreds of years old tea trees, using 1 bud and 2 next leaves, when the tea leaves are well mature and still young and powerful enough. The white snow buds are clearly seen on the tea cake.
As a fact in the area we made this puerh, tea trees are covered in foggy climate in most of time, especially after the long winter break, tea buds are exceptionally rich nutrition, thickly sweet and very floral. It brings out a very clean puerh taste, delicate cool feeling going through your stomach and back to your throat, sweet and bold flavor, very long aftertaste and can be brewed 10 infusions at least. This puerh is already pretty smooth in the first year making due to this high quality material. So the value will be more increased if we can store it much longer.
We used the traditional manual way of producing this tea: by the wood fired pan with hand roasting. As each producer has his own way to make his own tea, this way is still our most favorite one. Each batch we used about 3kg of fresh leaves which can make less than 2 standard tea cakes. And it’s all handmade, so the quantity we can make is very limited.
