We have almost finished the early phase of the season which being called mingqian.
In Lunar calendar, this year is a leap year which includes Lunar leap month 2. So very different than previous years, the oldest tea trees in the land generated the first flush even before qingming (ancestor's day festival - tomb sweeping day).
The weather of the recent days here where we live was quite good with wind and sun enough. We concentrated on making some teas needed natural heat to wither and sun to dry. Being so busy and exhausted, we enjoyed every moment with the smell of tea being oxidized and drying at our workplace. It was a very emotional feeling that words cannot describe.
It is forecasted to be raining in a whole next week. The tea trees need to take rest to get ready for qingming phase (the main peak of the season). We and the locals also need to take a bit rest too.
This year's spring season is in a very good flow and we still practice every day to see and feel off the mind and heart.
Being so grateful for what we are receiving!
